Now you’ve probably all heard of him by now, but I still think you should take a look at Neal Fletcher’s work & website. The recent graduate from UCLan (Preston, UK) has had appearances in Creative Review, Form Fifty Five & Whitezine amongst others. His recent typeface ‘Bowen’ is a massive hit in the creative world is every type nerds dream. You can download the typeface amongst most of his others at http://www.nealfletcher.co.uk/
An excellent piece of branding in my opinion, designed by SomeOne. The whole system runs on a ‘V-shaped’ basis and incorporates most (if not all) aspects of the Victoria area. The typeface used is ‘Andes‘ and brings an even more modern edge to the branding. Via Brand New

Really nice use of a stamp for the Well Hung Meat Company. I really love the style of illustration thats teamed with the stamps too. Via Form Fifity Five
In a new bid to win people over, it looks like Go Compare are killing off their main character Gio. The comparison site have vandalised their own billboard posters in order to raise (a humorous) awareness for their new campaign. Quite funny I think.
Absolutely love the new Target Summer Campaign, art directed by Allan Peters (the blog I found this on). I think just by using the colours and the typeface they have portrayed a massive sense of summer, and a very feel good vibe. The overloaded trolleys create quite a comical effect too, again light hearted but gets the point across very simply and easily.

Pentagram are celebrating their 40th anniversary since being founded today, and to do so have created a short film together with 40 posters representing each year. The posters are designed by the 19 partners of Pentagram and all use only black, white and red. Congratulations Pentagram!

The update of the new Twitter bird-‘Larry’ comes as both good and bad news to people. The loss of the ‘goofiness’ has meant loss of character for some viewers. Personally I think the new one is much nicer and lighter, therefore allowing it to sit quite easily upon different applications. I can also see that this is the reason why some tweeters dislike the update, as it is clean like a lot of marks nowadays. The new logo is made up of three overlapping circles to show networking and connections. Would love to hear your thoughts on the update.

The Arts Council & BBC have teamed up to bring us The Space (a new free digital arts service ). One of the launches that comes from this is the John Peel Record Archive which contains (or will contain once finished) an extensive collection of albums featured on the John Peel show. The site allows you to view the original album artwork, the tracklist and even listen to the album itself. Listening to Peel Sessions, viewing photographs and watching videos are also all part of the site. Wonderfully designed and a timeless piece.
