Now you’ve probably all heard of him by now, but I still think you should take a look at Neal Fletcher’s work & website. The recent graduate from UCLan (Preston, UK) has had appearances in Creative Review, Form Fifty Five & Whitezine amongst others. His recent typeface ‘Bowen’ is a massive hit in the creative world is every type nerds dream. You can download the typeface amongst most of his others at http://www.nealfletcher.co.uk/
An excellent piece of branding in my opinion, designed by SomeOne. The whole system runs on a ‘V-shaped’ basis and incorporates most (if not all) aspects of the Victoria area. The typeface used is ‘Andes‘ and brings an even more modern edge to the branding. Via Brand New

This concept idea for a camera was developed by product designer/mechanical engineer Mimi Zou. The camera works using biometric technology and interacting with human behaviour. For example, if you narrow or widen your eye, the lens will copy; when you blink a picture is taken. The concept also instantly tags people in the photographs which can then be transferred to files via wi-fi, or copied to an SD card. Pretty clever stuff.
Consumed is a project by Daniel Ridgway, in which he analyses his consumption of everything within a 24 hour time period. A really nice use of colour, photography & infographics. http://www.dandad.org/talent/new-blood/exhibition

I really love the layout of this book (except the barcode on the cover), it’s so random yet fit’s together so well. I especially think the ‘black/death’ pages fit so well with the images & layout on the following pages, as if it’s an echoing thought. A lovely use of photography too. Art Director: Hassan Rahim

If you are going on placement or looking for a job I would recommend reading this series.
Absolutely love the new Target Summer Campaign, art directed by Allan Peters (the blog I found this on). I think just by using the colours and the typeface they have portrayed a massive sense of summer, and a very feel good vibe. The overloaded trolleys create quite a comical effect too, again light hearted but gets the point across very simply and easily.
